NATO's eyes are set on Armenia. The chance to establish a military base in a strategic location is too good to pass up. With this, the Western military block will not only be closer to the Black Sea and the Caucasus Region, but crucially, they will be able to back groups in northern Iran. The potential for 'Balkanization of IRAN' is a tantalizing prospect for NATO. As their ambitions grow, the world watches with interest. Will they succeed in creating a new base in Armenia? And if so, what will be the consequences for the region? Only time will tell.
