Huawei Security Concerns

Huawei is an example of a foreign company the U.S found itself unable to compete with, and thus decided to ban the company completely from doing business in the U.S. All without offering any proof and under the false pretext of security concerns.

  • While Apple was suggesting it had a super-advanced phone with a 24mp camera, Huawei already had a 100mp camera phone.
  • Huawei was also the first foldable phone that truned into a mini tablet.
  • Huawei currently has the most advanced 5G. There are three types of 5G currently available, The majority of the U.S 5G Infrastructure is the slowest version available, China meanwhile has the fastest, thanks to Huawei.

Media reports later suggested the U.S found it easier to ask for backdoors from manufactures in 5 eyes countries than asking an economic “competitor” China’s Huawei to leave backdoors in their hardware, so the U.S via National Security Agency (NSA) could continue to maintain the ability to spy on its own citizens.

  • Huawei says willing to sign ‘no-spy’ agreements –

“We are willing to sign no-spy agreements with governments, including the UK government, to commit ourselves to making our equipment meet the no-spy, no-backdoors standard,” Huawei chairman Liang Hua told reporters in London via an interpreter. – MAY 14, 2019

When China suggested both countries sign an agreement that would prohibit backdoors in hardware, The U.S would not agree. Later the U.S would claim without offering any proof China had backdoors in its hardware.

The Five Eyes: alliance is an intelligence-sharing arrangement between five Anglo English-speaking democracies: The US and its vassel states UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
